Maximo data loading guides
Notes on the parts of Maximo that make loading data harder than it looks: hierarchies that are not columns, revision numbers inside primary keys, and error messages that name the wrong object.
These are guides to Maximo itself rather than to our software. The behavior described applies whether you load through the Integration Framework, an automation script, Application Import, or a tool like ours.
Troubleshooting
Maximo data load errors, decoded
BMXAA0024E and the other messages that stop a load. What each one means, why the object named in the message is rarely the problem, and how to clear it.
Locations
Loading a Maximo location hierarchy
PARENT is not a stored column. How systems define the hierarchy, how to load one in the right order, and how to mass-change parents without building a loop.
Job plans
Loading Maximo job plans and tasks
The revision number is part of the primary key. That explains duplicate-key failures, tasks that appear to be missing, and revisions that will not activate.
More guides are coming
This set grows as common scenarios come up. Next in the backlog, in the order they are being worked: inventory balances and physical count reconciliation, asset meter readings, classifications and class structures, then routes. If one of them is blocking you now, say so and it moves up the list.
If you are a licensed user looking for product documentation, it ships with the current release. See Download. Support is included with every subscription, so ask us and a person will answer.

See a real load, start to finish
If your shop handles the field's spreadsheets through one-off scripts, manual entry, or ad-hoc load processes, request a demo.
- A real load, not slides — mapping, validation, preview, and upload on live data.
- Your scenarios — bring a sheet the field actually sends you — we'll talk through how it loads.
- IT questions welcome — security model, permissions, audit trail, and architecture — straight answers.
- About 30 minutes — and you leave knowing whether it fits. No pressure follow-up.
- A clear path after — qualified teams can pilot it in their own environment before any purchase.
